The fourth point in our mission statement reads: The Synagogue's influence, strength and vitality in the community flows from the members of our congregation. We value and honor the role our congregants fulfill in defining and shaping our future and that of the Jewish community of Maui.  We really take this to heart.

The Jewish Congregation of Maui has numerous opportunities to show your support.  We have several donation programs and a great volunteer corps.

Donations:

Tree of Life:  The Tree of Life is an on-going program where you can purchase adornments that will beautify and sustain our Tree of Life.  If you have a special area you like to donate to, this is a great way to do that!  The goal is to have the tree filled out by the end of the year.  The tree is then presented to the congregation at Rosh Hashanah.

Birds:  $10,000

Pomegranates:  $1,000

Plumeria:  $250

Apple:  $180

Orange Leaf:  $72

Yellow Leaf:  $36

Green Leaf:  $18

500 Club:  This is a fun club!  Each member contributes $18 a month.  That's it!  It is an easy and affordable way to give your support.  And almost everyone can afford $18 a month!

Kiddush Sponsor:  If you have a special date to commemorate, such as a birthday or yahrzeit, or you would like to honor someone in the community, this is a great way to do so.  Please call the office for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities:

We have many volunteer opportunities at the synagogue.  Our corps of volunteers are essential to the life of our community.  If you have special skills you would like to make available to us, or would like to just get involved and make new friends, please contact our lovely Volunteer Coordinator, Ruby Ayers by either calling the office or you can email her at odem333@gmail.com.
