Talmud Torah - JCM's Program for Children
Talmud Torah is JCM's program for our children! We are open for registration.
Our Mission
Our school seeks to inspire children to develop a rich Jewish life through a love of pluralistic learning and developing friendships in a diverse community.
We want our children to come to JCM each Sunday, have a wonderful time, and recognize that the synagogue is a place to have lots of fun with Jewish friends.
Starting on Wednesday, October 19th at 5pm, we will begin with a ceremony welcoming in the new week with Rabbi Raanan (called Havdallah in Hebrew). Based on attendance we will split up into classes or all learn together.
Details before the Start of the Tuition Based Learning on October 19:
This year we will continue our successful Children's Shabbat services on Saturday morning (10am) August 20, September 17 and October 15. Our second day of Rosh HaShannah (Tuesday, Sept. 27) will have a children's service. Based on interest by families, we can also have a Rosh HaShannah Seder during the evening of the first night, Sunday, Sept. 25. There will be a small service for children on Yom Kippur, Oct. 5, please stay tuned for more details. On Sunday, Oct. 9 we will have a Sukkot building party. During the Shabbat afterwards, on Oct. 15, we will have a Children's Service outside in the Sukkah.
Details about the Formal Talmud Torah Tuition Based Programming:
Depending on enrollment, we are planning on having three classes: Aleph (youngest kids), Bet (ages 8-10), the B-Mitzvah Class (ages 11-13).
Classes will be taught by Jessica, Josh and Rabbi Raanan. The groupings of classes will be determined after registration.
